Spent two hours on Friday afternoon picking out furniture for my new house with Ed,an older salesman at the New Port Richey,FL. Showed him the furniture that we were going to buy for Living room, bedroom and dining room.

All were sets.....Monday i went on line and set up a credit account for $4000 on the Rooms to Go Website, then went to the store, got Ed the salesman and he started collecting model numbers. We had everything together in the computer and I was about to put $1000 on a sale of $4200 or so and he says we will deliver your furniture and put in for your voucher from Best Buy for the 50 inch LED TV that went with my living room set...the he said it would a 5 day wait before I could turn in the voucher to pick up the TV! I strongly objected and he just "matter of factly said I have been here for 8 years and that is how we do it". Then he ran off to get the Manager, who came back and said "buddy that is how our program works".

i called him a used care salesman and left. I called the corporate office and this is when I knew I was dealing with a group of idiots and scammers. The customer service person said since i ddin't buy anything she couldn't help me,then said she couldn't because the credit account was with a third party but wouldnt tell me.

I had to get a supervisor on the phone and she was a complete *** to me! Here she is customer service manager

Im really sorry to hear that you feel this way. As the TV's are distributed through Best Buy we do not carry these items in stock.

The voucher explains what the customer is able to purchase and pick out when they go into Best Buy. We apologize for any disappointment that this has caused.

That is your standard response all the way to your customer service manager? Is that taking social responsibility for poor business ethics and subsequent practices?

Especially since I never held or saw one of your voucher, it does not say that in your flyer or at your store and your sales people and/or store management fail to tell you until you are ready to pay! I have a feeling this is your standard operating procedure because the 78 other local complaints I read had an eerily similar tale as to their experience at your store or in online dealings with Room to Go. Can we all be wrong? It was deceitful sales practices to say the least.

Also I signed up for a credit account on your website, you send me the congratulatory email with the big Rooms to Go logo that my account was set up for $4k,then I find out that the account is with another third party financial institution, that tried to put a hold on my credit. When I called your customer service people that were very vague and wouldn't even tell me who you deal with so I could cancel the account..If that isn't deceptive business practices,I don't know what is...You obviously operate your company like a "shady" used car operation with all the tricks to snare the consumer. Well shame on you,I have filled my complaint with the Attorney General(they have many on your company).

That is how I found out TD Bank held my credit account......So now what do you have to say for your company and it's actions?

This is not bait and switch. Not sure there is any issue at all except you don't like it.

You must be kidding.....sending a customer to pick up part of their purchase 5 days after they take delivery at another store with a voucher isn't an issue...what if the 50 inch LG LED turns into a POS type television or they don't honor the voucher at all.....Why would I pay for delivery and then have to chase my purchase......certainly I don't like it...what did you get a law degree from Harvard to come up with that one or may be you are a used car salesman and feel its too close to home?

Your not charged tax on the tv,rtg does not sell tvs .if you got your TV that day,you could go home cancel furniture order and keep tv.your probably too dumb to be buying furniture
