ROOMS TO GO complaint by Sfarmer
I purchased an entertainment center, which was delivered, BROKEN last Friday(100$ fee). The delivery person typed in the information, told me i'd receive a call to have a new entertainment center delivered. Per the cc department, i have to wait 4 weeks after the date of purchase to have my unbroken piece delivered. - (If you argue, they will cut tha down by a week - FYI) Speaking of argue - the cc rep named SUNDAY was not only rude, but down right nasty... So, lets recap. Buy furniture June 2nd, and maybe it will be delivered intact June 27th... (Don't forget, i paid 100$ for delivery).. So, after being outraged, i contacted the local store, spoke to the manager - CHRIS, who at least was able to move that date up to June 25th. At least he listened to my concerns, and appeared to be concerned i was a satified customer... Shame on you, rooms to go customer service department for your crappy customer service...

People seem to forget that for every 1,000,000 people that is served, only about 5000 of you have issues. With any business do you think you could have a flawless experience every single time, NO. GOD forbid that you are one of the few that had a bad experience. There are people out there that don't even have furniture, they sleep on the floor and all you people can do is piss and moun about some cracks in a foot board. I work at Rooms To Go, but I was a customer first. All of my experiences were not the best but you know what, you make lemonade out of lemons. Everyone wants to blame Rooms To Go, but when you blame yourself. You CHOOSE to shop there and you are usually the people that do not read your reciepts, and they you complain you didn't know there where no time frames. There are hundreds fo Rooms To Go store across the east coast and the south and only few warehouses, do you think that everything will always be perfect and next day. We rush to get things out to you next day, but when you rush what happens........things get damaged. Most customers decide the day before they are having a dinner party or guest coming into town that they realize they need a dinning table or a new guest room. Then it is our fault that there is a rush. All I can say is learn ACCOUNTABILITY.

5 weeks to get your refund for the $50 charge makes sense. The company had to issue a check or reimburse your credit card. Both processes take some time. Also to be compensated for your time and energy to get this resolved you would have to submit a lot of paperwork to a judge and even then its hard to prove your time is worth anything. So stop the complaining and enjoy another store who will treat you the same.

We purchased our king size bed from Rooms to Go and were very pleased by our salesperson...at first. She ran our credit check for the credit card and no payment/no interest promotion and was all over us when she found our perfect credit score. We made the deal and were told that our bed would be delivered at 8 am that Monday. This was a Saturday. We talked with her about buying a living and dining room set after we received our bed.

Imagine our surprise when they delivered our bed BEFORE 7am on Monday. They brought the bed in with a huge crack the length of the footboard and NO side rails. We were told they would have the rails delivered in 2 weeks or we could go to the store and pick them up ourselves. After we had payed $50 for delivery and set up. Couldn't sleep in the bed this way so we drove the 9 miles to the store (with all the trucks out back) Walked in and explained to the same salesgirl what had happened. She said someone else would have to help us because it was her turn for the next customer who came in to make a purchase. Spent an hour with the manager explaining our problem, finally got the side rails and had to go home and set the bed up ourselves. Two weeks later we got a replacement footboard and after 5 weeks on the phone and writing letters we got our $50 refund on the delivery charge....nothing for our time and effort and gas. The very next day they called to ask about our experience in shopping at RTG. We told them very calmly and clearly what happened and were told "that's the way it goes, too bad."

We will be taking our perfect credit score and complete house redecorating needs to anyplace other then these rude, shoddy moneymongers.
