Communication problem with customer service

My name is Barbara A. Bisceglio and my order # 1737**** our purchase was a King box spring and mattress. Over the past 8 yrs. we have spent thousands of dollars with Rooms to go. Today, our merchandise was delivered and we (my husband & I happen to be very active 66 yr. olds)thought we would help out by taking our mattress(king size)and box spring off the bed to make it easier for delivery men to just carry it out. The only place we could put it was in our foyer of our house right next to the front door. When your delivery man PIERRE 2364 came to door, he informed us he could deliver our mdse. however, he had no room on his truck to take old matress. I was told @ time of purchase you would take old matress out. We both are leaving for Rhode Island for a week and there was no way we could not have this mdse. taken away. If it were not for the kindness of PIERRE 2364, not only would you have lost this sale, as we were not going to except it, however, we have many family and friends that would be very upset and dissatisfied with your company as far as further purchases. Please thank this gentleman for us and PLEASE do not have the truck so loaded that your delivery people have to deal with your inconsistencies of having an un happy customer. AMAZING POSITIVE RESPONSE FROM CUSTOMER SERVICE

I posted a complaint on this site about 10 days ago regarding an experience at Pompano Beach (FL) RoomsToGo. I was pleasantly surprised (amazed, actually) that I received a reply from a web-consumer advocate representative within 72 hours. I had written to the company CEO, spoke to the sales person and 1-800 customer service all to no avail. But BRANDON PETTY understood the issue, responded appropriately and resolved all my issues very quickly. He even issued me the requested refund! While one good experience does not make a series, fair is fair -- and I had just had to post this POSITIVE EXPERIENCE for others to gain some encouragement. Maybe Rooms To Go really does want to improve their image. At least I am impressed!!!!!!!

I bought a lot of stuff for my house and bad cuality

I am never buying not even a pencil there,and I told that to the rude Custemer service agent, people not buy from rooms to go not even a nickel from them,they sell cheap product and with bad quality and they don't tell you the true when you are buying I bought 3 pieces of living room leather and I don't have sofa any more because is pealing off what was suppost to be 100% leather at least that's what they tell us, when we bought it ,also a dining room set is rounded the wood is all mets up as well I recommend people everybody that I know to not buy nothing there

Rooms to go makes furniture that they DON'T stand behind.

Purchased an entire living room set. Also both of my kids rooms where purchased at rooms to go kids. I also purchased the extended warranty. The couch is completely falling apart after only 2 years old. The extended warranty people on 2 seperate problems refused to help me and could to have been ruder. Then I received 3 calls to schedule service and when I called them back rooms to go refused to help me. This is a huge company and without us little people purchasing their products they wouldn't be in busines. I work hard for my money and expect to get what I pay for.

Cindy Crawford furniture cheap!

I bought a Cindy Crawford French style bedroom furniture set for my 7 year old daughter from Rooms to Go several years ago. The furniture is poor quality. It's a good thing that my daughter is easy on the set or it would be trashed by now! The drawers are very sensitive to pulling out of the tracks and cracking therefore we must be careful when opening the drawers, especially the bottom ones that are made deep. If I had known that we were going to have problems with the dressers, I would not have purchased the items. I hope that the Cindy Crawford Furniture line has improved in quality over the last several years.

Poor quality and horrible customer service

Purchased sofa and love seat from Rooms To Go in Tampa. We are on our 3rd delivery and all 3 times furniture arrived damaged. They preach great customer service but they are horrible!!! Their management fails to follow through on promises and forget asking for restitution. The answer is quick an simple as I was told "absolutely no way are we going to give you a discount because we delivered damaged furniture 3 TIMES!" They've not only lost me as a customer. They've just lost my entire family and everyone else I can reach out to. Never trust RTG.

Delivary

Recently I purchased two queen bedrooms sets from their sunrise showroom. At the showroom, all well pleasant. But the delivery was not happen as they promised at store. Delivery crew come on a morning, One of the guys are very nice, but a short guy, very rude, no manners, and treat as they deliver as for from a thrift store. He broke two my light fixtures. I did not signed their bill.He walked away and slammed my front door and run. I complained to RTG immediately. They says, the delivery people are separate company, and they do not have any control over them. I made a decision never shop from RTG any more, and discourage all my families, friends and my students in my Universities. Very Very bad customer service...

I purchased a bedroom set in October 2011, due to limited credit as I had just moved from Puerto Rico, I was not approved for the zero financing, however, thankfully, I was approved for the monthly payment option.

Nonetheless, due to a lay off, I have been working on temporary jobs and has been difficult to make ends meet, however, I HAVE ALWAYS PAID MY ACCOUNT (never 15 days from the 1st day, which is the due date). I completely understand that it is my responsibility to pay on time and if I could, I would pay off the balance just so I would NOT receive ANY phone calls from Evelyn Thompson (Sunrise, FL Location; Phone#:954-514-****), which states is the Assistant Manager at this location. Ms. Thompson is the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with on a customer service level. Unfortunately, I have been forced to tell her that I am unable to pay but that I will so, giving her an specific date and she SUCKS her teeth and gives me attitude through the phone. You should inform her that when speaking to clients she should smile and customer sense things through the phone, which is the first thing many customer service and / or, telemarketing representatives are taught to do.

I DO NOT APPRECIATE NOR I THINK A PERSON WITH SUCH ATTITUDE SHOULD BE WORKING WITH PEOPLE. I have spoken to another young lady (which I believe was or is Hispanic) and she NEVER was rude and always understood my situation. It is unfortunate but I will NEVER again refer someone to this location, which as a matter of fact, my wife's family has purchased there many times and they will hear about this unfortunate event. Notwithstanding, my bedframe broke and was forced to purchase another one somewhere else, YET, I still pay for this bedroom set, which clearly it was not real wood.

This is the first time I write a complaint email as I know people do have bad days, nonetheless, the constant attitude this woman gives me is UNPROFESSIONAL and I was forced to write this email. In addition, when I called back to get her last name as she is supposed to provide as she is the assistant manager, she gives me another attitude and tries to avoid giving it to me, so I hope the last name is correct. As I stated before, I KNOW IT IS MY RESPONSABILITY to pay on time and if you do a credit check you will see, I have built credit and pay on time, BUT I do not expect people to suck their teeth, especially, when I am paying a late fee.

Worst Experience Ever.

Purchased a bathroom mirror, two small pictures and a very small vase at their outlet store in Charlotte North Carolina. After paying, we were told that we couldn't carry the items out the front door that someone would come to the register and take them to the side dock, to which I said ok. Little did I know that it would take them 45 minutes to bring it to me. By the way, there instructions to me were to stand outside and wait for them to call my name:..............It was pouring rain. When I inquired to get my money back, they said they would have to write me a check, they couldn't give me my cash back. NEVER WILL I SHOP THERE AGAIN!

Poor quality furniture

I purchased a Cindy Crawford living room set/package from Rooms To Go in October of 2012. I paid over 2,500 dollars.

For a sofa, love seat, coffee, end and sofa table and a Best Buy gift card for a tv. I've had the set for 6 months. The couches already make all sorts if noises when we sit on them. I can hear the wood cracking and the spring sounds.

The tables have lost their lacker/varnish coat and they look hideous and so darn cheap! I take pride and care of my furniture but this is a rip off. I'm not a heavy set person and neither is my daughter.

I'm so disappointed! I'll never ever purchase anything through this company again.

My husband and I purchased a living room suit (couch, swivel chair, chair and a half, coffee table and end tables) and paid well over $2,000. We have had the furniture less than 1 year, had 2 service calls already to repair the caving in couch, screws falling out of the coffee table, and all of our pillows falling totally apart, only to be told that this is normal "wear and tear"!

I don't know what planet that the types of problems we are having is normal wear! I've had furniture from Big Lots that has held up much better than this ***! We paid for the extended warranty, and what has that got us...? NOTHING.

I will never buy anything from Rooms to Go ever again!!

And, I will be placing a phone call to their customer service department that may not be so friendly! I will not recommend this company to anyone, ever!

Had a talk with Rooms to Go cusotmer service today, and actually they were very nice, and have approved for my husband and I to get a replacement living room set. Hopefully we will be happier with the new set and can continue shopping there. Thanks for making this right Rooms to Go!

That sounds terrible. All new purchases come with a one year manufacturer warranty.

Never order from a catalog

I bought a bedroom set from them. None of the pieces match. Wood tones did not match. I sent it back and order another style. The bed was great, beautiful piece of solid wood, very well made. All the dresser match, however they were of poor quality wood different wood than the bed. I had problems with the dresser from day of delivery, all the drawers had problems rolling in and out because the drawer glides were so cheap. I went to the store for help. They responded only the first time. I was never able to resolve the problem with them. I learn never to order or buy anything I can't see or touch.

NEVER PURCHASE FROM THEM

This company is a joke. This ordeal has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Not only do they send you damaged product, it takes forever to get it resolved. On the first try, the enterntainment center I bought was damaged. But in addition to being damaged, someone tried to cover it up with a Sharpie marker, yes, a black Sharpie. Instead of sending out an exchange, they decided to send a repair technician, even after I told them it couldn't be repaired. After that didn't work, I called to have the exchange done, but was told I would have to wait 4-6 business days for the report to come back. I talked to a manger and got an exchange authorized, and again it was damaged! Now the product is on back order, and I have to wait another 3 weeks until it will actually be delivered. I am going to go ahead and assume that one will be damaged to.

Damaged product @ deliver & *** Customer Service

I purchased some furniture from them a few months ago - one piece was a large floor standing mirror. It was delivered damaged, I didn't think anything of it just requested a replacement - 4 replacements later they still could not deliver an undamaged piece. I placed several calls requesting to speak to a manager - but when you call they cant put you on the phone with them, they have to submit a request to have the manager call you back which is obscene. I filed a complaint with my credit card company thinking that would get them to call me back but nothing has work. This was the first time that I ever purchased anything from Rooms to Go and I have never been so disappointed with quality and customer service in my life.

Rooms to go are liars and cheats

Rooms to go has again lied to the florida dept of consumer affairs after they opened my claim for the 2nd time since the floor scratching incident. ... They say its my word against theirs STILL ... I urge everyone to shop for their furniture else where ... Go to ""Rooms To Go"" face back page and view all the complaints ... They say their they will help and DO NOTHING .. If you complain to much they BAN you from commenting and DELETE all your posts ... Their Face Book page is nothing more than a public relations scam ... I truly suggest you go where your dollars are appreciated.... They are. NOT here... AVOID this IMMORAL company at all costs

Bad quality leather sofa

I do not recommend rooms to go any one, we bought a sofa set three years ago and they started peeling of not long after we got them, we spent $3,000 and now we have an ugly totally mess sofa in our living room, do not buy from these people. Their stuff looks very good but the quality is terrible. I did not bouth the guaranty then they said they cannot do nothing for me. I hope this not to happen to someone us because they are not selling cheap and their stuff is not the best, look at my pictures to see it.

I bought a sofa and loveseat, bonded leather from RTG. I live alone, I don't have any children or animals.

The leather on the loveseat started peeling off. I had to cover with sheets. Then I decided to switch to using the sofa instead of the loveseat, after a week of sitting on the sofa, the same thing happened.

I paid $2000 including the charge to have it protected. I have never experienced this problem in all my years of buying furniture.

Having to tighten and fix worst furniture ever on a regular basis

In about 9 months from purchasing a couch the bottom came detached from the arm falling to the floor. They sent a claims rep who made an appt for the afternoon but showed uo at 7:30am. He took a cursory look at the furniture and determined we broke it without a thorough inspection. They did do a one time "complimentary replacement" on their poor quality merchandise. Now 1 year later the chair and table we purchased along with the couch is loosing screws. I am repairing a chair now and replaced a screw in the table a month ago. All with normal, regular use.

This is unfortunate to hear. While Rooms To Go does warrant the furniture for one year from the date of delivery to be free of manufacture defect, we cannot account for what happens in the home.

At times, Rooms To Go will give the customer the benefit of the doubt and provide a replacement even if a covered defect is not found. However, like any other product or commodity, maintenance beyond the warranty period is the responsibility of the consumer.
