DECEITFUL

I purchased a bedroom set at Rooms to go katy Texas showroom. I realized it was defective, oversized and not sturdy. Try to returned it . No answer. No help. No returns accepted even if they deliver broken or deffective parts. Deceitful sellers. Worst experience ever. Stay away!!!!! I try to contact sales person, manager, central office, but they are deceitful and try to dismiss you with lies . Manager would not come to the phone. Manager realizes problem but states that after 48 hours there is nothing he can do. They will hide facts about their *** furniture. Many times will deliver wrong pieces of furniture and then will try to convince you to keep it because is "better" and more expensive than what you actually wanted. then they will try to charge delivery. Quality is terrible. dont say I didnt warn you!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE.

Rooms To Go

Bunch of Crooks from the sales person to the C S department. They are running ads for 10 items for $$. My sister and I went to the store before the Super Bowel weekend, the sales person John told us of certain items that could be substituted & when the furniture was delivered the oversize chair that was part of the substitution was not there. After speaking to CS and begging them to just take the furniture back, since the order was incomplete they refused. Please read the very light gray writing on the back of the order, NO Refund or Returns!

I suggest people contact Better Business Bureau. I am waiting on a refund for a dresser that was never delivered.

Two week wait for check. So we will see.

I will surely run to BBB and or local news station if my check is delayed. I hope someone puts the local Houston news on this scam/*** place.

I was considering buying furniture from Rooms to Go with my income tax refund, but after seeing this site I'm going else where.

Rooms to Go,The Woodlands - WARNING

I will never deal with Room To Go again. Service is horrible with *** attitude and no educated staff.

After receiving little or no help I informed them I would take my money and business elsewhere and they told me "okay, then do it". They couldn't tell me when my furniture could be delivered, couldn't tell me if it's in stock or not and then refused to put me through to a manager. This store sucks!

Stay away from doing business with any location since they're all tied together. *** have more brains than these people.

I actually purchased from the idiots, that was a hard lesson learned. The salesman was to busy to help me then when hw finally did he zipped me through spending my money and out tge door. As I was walking out the salesman and manager started arguing about my delivery date. then finally telling me they will call me in a minute to let me know of the date. I had the date they told me already as 4 days after purchase. They called and said they would do it 14 days later. I told them to cancel the whole order, the salesman called me 1 hr later and said the date would be the original date. I went against my better judgment and said ok. Then when delivery came

I was informed that one piece is out of stock would not get it till 30 days later. Now I found out that the special tv offer you don't get till 21 days after the entire order is delivered. So tried to cancel the entire order and on the back of one of the papers in my packet (that nobody showed me). Is the return policy. So I got so taken, besides all the hidden charges and bs. This is a company I hope no one is *** enough to make my mistake!

Rooms To Go Sucks!

I have never seen a company with as many problems stay in business as long. They have the worst delivery and sales people I have ever seen.

They offer TV's from Brans Mart! Oh how funny Brans Mart Never has the TV's offered…. Oh well you can get something else from Brans Mart….. Looser me for dealing with Rooms To Go…… NEVER again.

I had to wait three weeks for the furniture delivery that they said they had in stock… False advertising "next day delivery". If I had more money I would sue them.

I want them all to feel the anger I have. I sleep at night I hope they can't.

Oh yeah!!!! I forgot to add that ALL of the stuff, loveseat, hide-a-bed, mattresses, EVERYTHING we purchased at ROOMS TO GO is NOW in the Charolette County LANDFILL where it should have been in the first place. Should have let you in on that the note I previously wrote above.

Guest

I too wonder how those folks sleep at night and I asked the manager at the local store how they could sleep at night? I too am very angry with ROOMS TO GO and will tell everyone about how they took us and never once blinked while taking $5500.00 knowing good and well the stuff they sold us wouldn't hold up 2 months under normal wear and tear with 2 seniors using it.

They are awful and I can't understand how they are so big. The big ads in the paper are understandable, they have used the money we used to buy their junk with so they can get more suckers like us in their store and they can take advantage of them too!! Poor souls. We finally gave up with them before we had heart attacks and went and re-purchased everything we originally purchased at ROOMS TO GO from another furniture store and we are completely happy with our new furnishings, too bad we had to waste $5500.00 with ROOMS TO GO.

Honestly they wore us down completely with their customer service and coming to the house and their 4 hour blocks and replacements, we went through this for over a year with them and finally GAVE UP and went elsewhere. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Rooms To Go; Never again!

My parents live in Houston and were visiting me in New Orleans for the Christmas holiday; I recently moved into my first apartment without roommates and am lacking quite a bit of furniture. My parents decided to buy me some living room furniture as my Christmas gift. My mother and I went to Rooms To Go the day after Christmas and purchased a Cindy Crawford couch and table for my living room. They were slotted to be delivered this morning (12/31/09). I had no problems with the salesman, he was nice, knowledgable, and kept his distance until we were ready to talk to him. I recieved a call at 8:30 am telling me they would be here soon to deliver my furniture. A young man knocked on my door and asked me to point out where I would like the sofa. Ten minutes later there is another knock on my door, it's the same young man, "It won't fit on the elevator." He then asked if I would like to come down and see, of course I would. The three delivery men told me there was no way to get it up to my apartment. I inquired about the stairs, which I have seen numerous couches from other furniture stores go up, and was told four flights was just far too many. It probably didn't help that the "delivery men" were about my size (I stand 5'3"). They pack up the couch and go about their way. I am skeptical on how hard they actually tried, considering it was no time at all to decide it would not fit. That is not even what really gets me angry. I went back to the store this after the failed delivery and asked to speak to a manager, my father who paid for the furniture (and as an engineer felt that there was a way to get the couch up) was not happy and wanted me to tell them either we got the couch we paid for or we wanted a full refund. The secretary/billing lady/I'm not sure what she was, paged the manager several times to no avail. I waited 45 minutes and the manager, "Mike", never materialized. Finally, I was helped by a woman who said she was from the "vice-president's office." She gave me my refund but took no real interest in trying to remedy the situation. After hearing a lady, also waiting to speak with the alleged Mike, complaining about the shoddy workmanship of her furniture it is probably for the best. I am also returning the table, which came packed flat in a box. I am sure I can get the same quality table (packaged the same way!) for half the cost from Ikea.

Rooms to Go sold me inferior furniture

I worked really hard and saved my money just to buy a good sofa and love seat. I bought them two years ago from Rooms to Go. Last year I tried to get the Chattanooga store have someone come out and look at the sagging sofa. They put me off until there was nothing they could do. I ended up giving it to Goodwill. They fix the sagging and sell it off to help people. Now the love seat is sagging. Goodwill will get it next. But not until I can save money again. I can absolutely say that I will probably end up at Goodwill to buy them both back. Actually no they can sag somewhere else. They rook me for thousands of dollars. A single mother with one income. They saw me coming. Do not let them rook you as well

You expected otherwise? Good furniture is made by real craftsmen and costs money.

Want to buy a sofa for 300 bucks? You get what you pay for.

Guest

roooms to go sold me the cheapest furniture in the market. will never shop there again

Guest

Lose weight. Helps with the sagging.

Guest

A lot of these fall under 'you get what you pay for' look around and compare the price you paid to what a high line retailer would charge. I do upholstery work for many manufacturers and there is little difference in what is inside a Rooms To Go sofa (which they sell many different manufacturers)and an $5000 sofa.

If you buy a sofa for $700 you get a $700 sofa.

That's the real problem with the economy... people expect far more than they are willing to give.

Guest

Your story sounds so similar to mine..I have had 3 couches from them in 3 years. The sagging is one issue, and the fragile, thin frames that are stapled together is another.

$1700.00 later, and less than a year into my 3rd replacement couch...the company is denying the warranty saying that the sagging and OPEN SEAM on top of the couch is due to wear and usage. No kids, just me and my husband. Two dogs that sleep about 22 hours a day. Nice.

We are ready to drop this piece of junk in front of the store. Buyer be aware -go for quality.

I'd rather spend 50 bucks on a bean bag chair than go through this nonsense again. I am filled with anger just looking at this pathetic couch.

Guest

Yeah Right!!!! I will do just that!!!!

I do know it was made in the USA, it is made of solid OAK and is bolted together, has no CARDBOARD in it and you can sit on it without our rear hitting bottom, the mechanisim works smoothly and when you get up you don't have *** where you were sitting.

Apparently you are a customer from Rooms to Go and a happy camper, if that is so then you are one in a million. Your lucky!!!!

Guest

you've had your "Fabulous Furniture" for less than a week... write back in 6 months, when you have a problem with it...

Guest

Rooms to go has very cheaply made furniture, our set that was purchased in January 2009 was replaced in August 2009 by rooms to go and in Januray 2010 the set was hauled to the dump by the furniture store that we purchased our next set from. We have spent over $5500.00 with rooms to go and only have a bedroom set to show for it and a mattress set that had been replaced 3 times and we are waiting to hear from customer service to go pick out our 4th set of mattresses.

I will never, EVER purchase anything from them again. Their NO REFUND policy SUCKS, BUT they WILL replace whatever OVER AND OVER again until YOU TIRE out and go someplace else and that is what you have to do because I am convinced you will never get anything that is going to hold up that comes from that store, we know because noone ever vistited us with kids and it has only bveen myself and my husband that has used any of the furniture purchased from rooms to go. Fabulous Furniture treated us with great respect and we got a beautiful living room set there and the quality is great and the salesman and owner was great to work with and they even got rid of the broken down stuff from rooms to go for us at no additional charge. From now on I will tell EVERYONE about the HORRIBLE experience we had with Rooms To Go and the WONDERFUL experience we had with Fabulous Furniture and we will send all we hear in search of furniture to Fabulous Furniture.

It is a shame these people get away with cheating so many with there cheap made products and getting a MORE than fair price for their products of such POOR quality. But everything ALWAYS comes out in the end, WE REAP WHAT WE SOW.

Rooms To Go=Awful Customer Service.

After waiting over 12 hours, being hung up on twice, lied to multiple times and being told I am an unreasonable customer approximately 1/2 of my furniture was delivered to my business rather than my home. Only RTG knows when or if the other 1/2 will ever arrive. I could and will never recommend this company to anybody. You get what you pay for. There's is no wonder why they can only sell on low prices. Customer service or satisfaction is of no concern to these people. Calls and or emails to their support systems go completely ignored. Don't waste time shopping there!!!!

Horrible customer service reps are indifferent to customer frustration at their inability to deliver without confusion. Siloed org structure made me have to call multiple numbers to finally cancel an order after extreme frustration at trying to have it delivered.

Also, who closes their customer service line BEFORE their delivery windows are closed so that when the truck never arrives you have to wait until the next morning to talk to someone about it?

It is clearly evident that these people do not understand customer service. This was my first experience with them, and it will be my last.

My bed was sent with two short legs. The headboard was 1 1/2" lower then the foot board.

I have been waiting for two months for someone to come and look at it. I live less than 50 miles from the store but they ony come to my arae once a month.

Last month he was a no show. The month before that he said it was not the frame it was the mattress which took a month to change out when it arrived i showed them what was wrong they said you will have to call and get a new frame. Not again

RTG lied about a set I bought in 2006

I bought a Cindy Crawford set in Jan. 2006, had delivered in August, sense I was getting my retirement home painted and just making our final move to Hernando Cty. This set was not new, it was the same set that sat on the sales floor for about a year.($4500.00) It was tagged as being treated, which I paid extra for, that was a lie. This set was not drum dryed as I was told. I clean it and it fades if any pressure is applied. I now have a set that is polka dotted, and where pieces are sewn together, there is a difference in the color of the leathers. I am so disappointed, as I thought this would be the last set I would have to buy. I had Natuzzi that I bought in 1982, and just decided I wanted something different. I sold that set just before I had the set I bought from your store for $750.00 after all those years. Sadly, doesn't say much about RTG or Cindy Crawford Products

Rooms to go

They (rooms to go - bay brook mall) sold us a tempurapedic mattress with a queen size bed and brought a Serta mattress instead, hiding it under a tempurapedic cover. Check everything! There is no integrity or honor with this company or its products. They have been here 2 times to fix the bed we bought with the (what we thought) was a tempurapedic (really serta) mattress. They have wasted my time as I own my own business and being here, waiting for kid to show up to fix the bed, at their leisure, has cost me $800 today. So buyer, BEWARE!

Rooms to go does not care once they take your money!

after paying 5000 dollars for my two daughters bedroom sets . I waited for delivery .... delivery day comes and my daughters headboard is damaged in 3 places.. customer service tells me I need to ask for redelivery and I do. A week later ( as we are about to move into our new house) they deliver the same exact headboard. It's obvious because it is damaged in the same 3 places!!!! Of course when you call customer service.. the manager is not in and will not be in all weekend. The sales rep on the phone has nothing nice to say and says she can't help me with my purchase anymore. I called corporate and they are always closed and have not returned my phone calls.. It's obvious once they take your money they no longer care about their customers. never again will I use rooms to go in ft. myers fl ....

Ft. Myers Rooms to Goo has this pack of wild eyed salespeople waiting to pounce when you open the door.

They follow you around like your going to steal something. They have no clue what the furniture is made of.

The "I'm better than you" people in the tiny windowed cashiers office are obnoxious. On top of all of it, their furniture will last maybe a year as long as you don't use it.

Guest

You are completely correct. I called to voice my complaints over my delivery today, and was told that they were too busy dealing with customers in the store, and that I would have to either call back later or come into the store if I wanted help. I was then hung up on.

Guest

I am sorry to hear about your experience! I bought my daughters bed room set from my local rooms to go.

The mirror was broken when delivered and the gentlemen that were delivering the furniture they did not even bring it into my home because they were afraid that my daughter might touch it. (that was very impressive to me!) also the nightstand had a very minor nick on it and it was not bad but i did not like it. I was sent out a new one 5 days later free of charge! Not only did they deliver the furniture when they said they would the people delivering it were very polite and courteous!

Again i am very sorry to hear about your experience, with any company you are going to have good and bad. That in no way excuses them for acting like they did, i am just commenting to express my good fortune with the company!

Guest

True. I made my first and last purchase at Rooms To Go in Douglasville, GA in Feb.

2010. The manager was very rude and is unwilling to work with me.

Called customer service and they said once your purchase is delivered it is yours. They have no return policy, even though my sofa table is damaged.

Rooms to Go is selling refurburished mattresses

Since October 2008, I have replaced 3 sets of mattresses and working on replacing a 4th set. My first purchase was a King size Sealy. This set I was able to use until around February 2009. The second set was a Simmons. I like it; however, it was also lumped and bumped on me after about a month. The next set I tried a Serta. This only lasted 3 weeks. I asked to replace with a Simmons, becasue of all three, I liked the simmons the best, because of the individual springs. I am now (today November 27, 2009) have set up an appointmet for a tech to come out again to check the lumps and bumps. In additon, this particular set does not have a Simmons label on it. The only thing on this set that shows simmons is the plastic guards at the corners of the box springs. I went to a Mattress store today just to look at the simmons mattresses, and the salesperson told me that simmons mattresses are all labled simmons, because simmons wants to make sure their name is noticeable. I relayed my problem to him and he said it is not a simmons even though he did not see the set.

I'm dealing with the same thing guys! Going on my 3rd king mattress in 5 years!

RTG wants me to keep paying up and will not refund me the difference if I choose a cheaper mattress! This is ridiculous! I'm demanding a refund as of today! They want to tell me it will be 1 month before a Tech can come to my home and measure my bed!

I've already done this twice so I know how they measure it. A tight thread across the sagging section and measure to it's lowest spot. And after 2 years it's sagging 2.5"!! That's ridiculous if you ask me.

I sleep alone and only weigh 160lbs. Their customer service is ***!

I will get my refund one way or another but until then, I'm buying from Mattress Firm. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ROOMS TO GO!!!!

I was considering purchasing furniture from Rooms to Go, but after reading these comments, I think I will reconsider!!

just like everyone else im having to deal with them also , trying to replace my queen mattress this is the second call i do in one year i purchased the mattress on 12/11 they had a tech to come see it on 8/12, then they told me that it was not 2 inches that was sinking . when the guy who revised it said he could see it sink by just looking at it .

so now they are having to come again 12/8/12. if they wont replace it i will send my chiropracters bill to them since we payed almost 2.000$ for a whole bedroom set.

Guest

We have gone through 4 mattresses with rooms to go. Now they are refunding my money.

"Check is in the mail" is the response I keep getting from the store. We honestly did not know a lot about mattresses when purchasing one other than "yeah it is comfortable". After doing extensive research, please go to a store that only deals with mattresses and try the latex non-coil beds. You will be happy.

I know we are FINALLY! Better warranty, better product!

Guest

We are working on our third mattress return. Each time we exchange mattress Rooms to Go in Buckhead Atlanta tells us they don't carry the same mattress we have.

We have to go higher or lower in price, and pay a restocking fee. Each mattress has been lumpy and a hump in the middle. My husband and I are senior citzen, rooms to go acts as if it something we are doing to the mattresses. I am so glad to see these other comments.

We are going tomorrow to pick out mattress number four. Because we don't have any other recourse

ALL ROOMS TO GO HAS IS TRASH. LOOK UNDER THE STUFF AND SEE HOW IT IS MADE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE ANYTHING IN THEIR STORE, IT'S PARTICLE AND CARDBOARD!!!!!THE STUFF LOOKS GOOD IN THE SHOWROOM BUT IT IS ANOTHER STORY ONCE YOU GET IT IN YOUR HOME AND THEN WHEN YOU TRY TO GET THEM TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE JUNK. THEY WILL RUN TO YOUR HOUSE AS LONG AS YOU WILL PUT UP WITH THEM AND THEIR 4 HOUR TIME FRAMES, UNTIL THEY WEAR YOU DOWN AND YOU GO SOMEPLACE ELSE, IN THE LONG RUN THAT IS THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL BE SATISFIED WITH YOUR FURNITURE IS TO GO SOMEPLACE ELSE, BEEN THERE, DONE THAT WITH ROOMS TO GO AND NOW FIRST HANDED WHAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING, TAKE YOUR MONEY, GIVE YOU JUNK AND THEN YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!!!!

Guest

UPDATE: I have now received a full refund from Rooms to go...FULL REFUND.However, this was only after I contacted the Attorney General for the State and the BBB for that county and two surrounding counties.

Whew! Never again.

Please watch wher you spend you money. I now have A Sterns and Foster mattress, and guess waht, It was cheaper that the sets I purchased from Rooms to Go.

Guest

We also purchased our Sealy King mattress in end of May 09 but the mattress is also having lumps and bumps! The technician is scheduled to come in this Thursday (Jan 21, 10).

I never had any problem from the cheap mattress we purcahsed before.

We also had other problems with Rooms To Go in Houston, TX (Willowbrook store). The store manager named John there is very rude and doesn't want to help the customer at all.

Damaged Furniture

RTG has attempted to deliver the same damaged coffee table three times. When I called them the third time to redliver, yes, I was pretty pissed, I admit. But the customer service agent told me that based on the agreement I signed with RTG, they would only attempt one more delivery, and they reserved the right to send a repairman out to attempt to fix the damage! Now I'm really pissed! I have yet to get an appology for the inconvenience. Wish I could show you a picture of the damage. Each table they deliver is damaged in the exact same place, and you cant repair particle board.

Bought a dining room set in Feb. Received one of the items damaged.

They sent a backsplash (a long wooden piece) through UPS... WRAPPED ONLY IN BUBBLE WRAP. Amazingly enough it also was damaged. Called again, they sent out another replacement piece.

THE WRONG ONE. Then they said they'd send out a whole new piece. Awesome, right? Oh no!

Not only did the delivery come at almost 8pm on a Sat night but the piece was also damaged. Monday morning rolls around and I waited for a phone. They don't call you if you refuse a delivery. What kinda of freaking company is this?

Oh, and I spoke with this 'supervisor' Rosa on the phone at customer service. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSON I'VE EVER SPOKEN WITH.

It is now Monday afternoon and I still have no resolution to this issue. I will NEVER EVER EVER buy another item from this store.

Misrepresentation

Webought a complete living room set in Nov which included a TV. We paid for everything up front. We were then told that it could not be delivered until late Jan. We were not happy about that but felt we had not choice unless we cancelled the whole deal. They told us that usually they do not deliver the TV until a week after the furniture delivery but since we had waited so long it would be delivered with the furniture. The furniture finally arrived on Jan 28 but no TV. The delivery guys said it would come by Fed Ex or UPS and would arrive in a day or two. A week later -no TV. We made numerous calls to RTG and could not get anyone to tell us anything. Yesterday we finally got someone at the local store and they said it would not be delivered for 2 weeks. We will NEVER buy ANYTHING from them again!!

What exaclty are you saying? Did you not get a delivery ever?

Did you do an extended delivery (which is like lay-away) or did you actually have it put on your credit? If you went to them the way you typed here, they probably had no idea what you were saying.
