Give me the furniture I've paid for!!!!!!!

On October the 3rd, I purchased furniture from ROOMS TO GO. It was deliverd on the 9th as agreed. My bed was missing parts (their mistake), and therefore, could not be assembled. I was told that the parts would be sent to me on 15th of October. My wife stayed home from work to receive the furniture at the prescribed time (0700-****). She waited until noon (5hrs), and nobody showed up. She returned to work, and received a call saying they would deliver later that day. At 4pm she got a call saying they were at the house. She said she would be there in fifteen minutes. When she arrived they had left. Now I'm told our furniture will not be delivered until October the 28th (my problem). I will never ever shop at ROOMS TO GO ever again.

Ripped off Rooms To Go consumers - fight back

did you know that you can write a letter to the attorney general's office in your state and make your complaint to someone who can actually help you. this website is a joke, where's the part of this site where rooms to go actually makes good on any of these complaints? is this just a website to vent and that's it. write the letter to your attorney general's office, do it professionally and don't use profanity. they will get rooms to go off their butts and stop taking advantage of consumers. i was going to buy a living room sectional from rooms to go but this is to many complaints for comfort. they must not care about quality. if some of you would stand up for your rights they might stop ripping you off. also, how about going on line and letting that model lady know about your complaints she probably doesn't even know what a bad deal you got. she probably doesn't shop rooms to go.

Perhaps this is not well known, but Rooms to Go was formed by the same guys that ran a northeast furinture called Seamens. Seamens had the most inferior furniture there was and a lousy customer service to boot. They drove that store out of business and now doing it over again at "Doom and Gloom to go".

Rooms To Go aka HORRIBLE!!!

I wish I read all the comments prior to ordering my daughter's first "big girl" furniture. This was an exciting time for all of us until now, 8 weeks later, and still only have half my order!! The warehouse will only deliver to my zip code on Wed, and my husband and I are normal people who have to work during the day! Luckily I have wonderful neighbors who let them in with the first part of my order which was left in the doorway of her room in very heavy boxes!! Now, they tried delivering the bed and left because I didn't answer my cell phone-which by the way has NO voice mails or missed calls-and will not return until NEXT Wed!!!! I will never do business with this company again and hope everyone else will read these comments before ordering!! I'm contacting the store to either cancel my order or try to get another delivery date sooner than another week but have been on hold for 15 minutes and now have to wait on a manager to call me back! Good Luck to all of you with the same issues!

Delivered defective armoire-bad repair job

Purchased bedroom furniture from Rooms to go Sarasota, Fl. Called customer service to complain about defective armoire we received. Repairman came to try and fix hardware on armoire door in which one front handle on armoire was one inch higher than the other. He said "oh I can fix that". He went to his van, came back with a hand drill and then drilled two more holes in door of the armoire. Now there are four holes instead of two which you can see on the door. Also there are scratches on the front of the armoire . The repairman said" that is in the wood grain" I told him I wasn't *** I know what a scratch is and what wood grain is. I called Room to go , they told me someone from repair will be calling within 3-5 business days. If they do not resolve the problem, then I should call customer service back! I will NEVER buy anything or recommend Room to go! Signed, Susan was one inch

Rooms to go customer service is aweful!

I have Never been so unsatisfied with a company in my life. I bought my son a new bed from there Woodlands Texas location. We ordered it on 7/5/08 and it was not delivered to my house until 8/1/08. when it was delivered the hardware package was missing So the delivery men just left all of the pieces to the bed in a mess in my sons room & left the mattresses in my living room. I called customer service and they told me it would be another week before some one could fix it. they came out to fix it on 8/8/8 and the bed looked OK until my son leaned on it and the bottom scooted out from under it. they did not bolt the bottom of the bed to the rails. I contacted customer service again and they said someone will contact me and it has now been 3 days and still no one has contacted me to fix the bed. also when the delivery men were here on both occasions they did not have the tools they needed. the first day they asked my husband for drill bits. and the second day they asked my daughter for a screw driver. when I contact the store they tell me i have to contact customer service at there 800# and they will not allow me to speak to a manager. I paid $1200.00 for this bed and it should be right. My son can't even play in his room because I am scared he is going to lean on the bed and it will fall on him. I will NEVER buy anything from Rooms To GO ever again.

Terrible service- scratched up furniture twice on delivery! Awful customer service-they don't care at all.

Time frame for deivery - 2hrs late after waiting for 5hrs! No apoligies froom anyone on the phone whatsoever. Was told that damaged is a part of delivery! Someone would come out and "fix" it!

Patch up a brand new piece of furniture? Wow-- save yourself the trouble - go somewhere else- this company is not worth your hard earned dollar!

I have had a similar experience that I am going through now. The bed was delivered with no hardware and no one can tell me that they will be back out to fix it. I will have them return the bed, but after reading these posting I am sure that will be a problem as well

Beware of Rooms To Go!!!! Nightmare

I decided to buy my daughter her first big girl bed at Rooms To Go. Big mistake. I made the order in June and it took till October to get this issue resolved! Furniture came damaged first go around. Had an exchange set up then the head board and foot board did not match. At that point I wanted refund. I was told they did not offer a refund but I could get an other bed room set. This is after Many calls to managers with no help. Promise to call back never does. So I decided to take legal action. Once I told the store manager of my plans then they were helpful (go figure). Moral of my story threat legal action and you may get your way faster. Seeing that it took 5 months to get my refund. I will never shop there again and I have warned all my friends and family to stay away!!!!!!!!!

Rooms to Go customer service never helpful

customer service should be renamed as Delivery Scheduler ,it's appropriate that's all they can do for us,that's all they did to us.For other requests the answer was "talk or call the driver" or "the driver will call you" or "call your local store, maybe they can help you" and my favorite alibi from them "we're located in Florida so we don't have any control of what the driver schedules will be that day of delivery since we're not in your state" ( translation:we don't have time for you, hang up your phone Now !)

Protection Policy

Purchased a sofa with a chase from Rooms to Go. I had purchased the Stain Protection policy for it also. Called to have the stains removed. They came out in a few days, but some of the stains did not come out. I called Rooms to Go again and they told me it was up to me to pay for a professional cleaner at this time. I told them I was not going to pay for a professional to come and clean the sofa for this is why I had purchased the Stain Protection in the first place. So, their Stain Protection policy means nothing and a waste of money.

Rooms To Go, Castle Tent Bed - fell apart, poor customer service

After Hurricane Katrina, my daughter needed a new bed (among other things). We ordered the Castle Tent Bed from RTG, which was adorable. This is the series of events that occurred with our purchase and delivery: 1- After paying on the bed in their lay-a-way system, I realized they had charged me for an additional warranty -- which I specifically stated I did not want. 2- When I returned to the store (30 miles away) to point out their deceit, I was treated like a "poor consumer" for not purchasing the warranty. 3- During the scheduled delivery week, RTG contacted me to say the bed was on backorder. My daughter was distraught. 4- When the bed was finally delivered 12 days later, for assembly and set up, they didn't have the hardware to put the bed together. 5- After the bed was set up in our home for 1 week (8 days), the lower tent/canopy fell and would no longer stick to the wood. 6- When I contacted RTG for a repair, I was told that it couldn't be replaced. I then asked them to refund my money and come get their bed. With that statement, they scheduled a repairman on the following Monday. 7- Monday they didn't show up and I called only to find that it was scheduled on Tuesday - my workday(their error). I rescheduled for sometime at the end of the week, but was told that the next available repair service wasn't until the following week. We are still waiting for the replacement piece and I am guessing I will have to repair it myself. This has not been a pleasant shopping experience and I can not recommend this business. Sorry.

I had a similar problem about a year ago with a 3 piece bunkbed set I bought from RTG in Metairie, LA. After 3 failed delivery attempts, I finally got the bed only to find that drawers didn't fit well and one drawer was cracked. Children's Store manager refused to talk with me but salesman told me this is a common problem with inferior merchandise.

Damaged Furniture Delivered 3 times

I purchased a dining room set in Aug.08. The china cabinet has been delivered damaged 3 times. The delivery men scratched my wood floors, knocked into walls and other furniture in my home. The last delivery was so bad and the men were so rude that I had to ask them to leave my home. I was then called by Customer service and told that I had to store the damaged furniture in my home until they could replace it. My next delivery is this week, I am not very optimistic. I will not shop at Rooms 2 Go again.

Bought new furniture received damaged and refused to replace

I ordered 3K worth of kids bedroom furniture for my daughters room. We received two of the 5 pieces with large scratches and chips on them. I asked them to replace pieces they sent a repair man out. I refused. They sent replacement pieces 3 times with the pieces in such bad shape that the delivery people commented on whether we bought it at the clearance center. Now we are called difficult and they offered to give us 10% off to keep the damaged pieces. One of which the hinge is broke and it won't even close. We refused so they said they've done all they can do and won't do anymore. So we are stuck. I will never shop here again, and I will not pay the bill until I get what I pay for.

If you get another exchange then ask for the furniture to be inspected before it leaves the warehouse. That way the furniture is unwrapped before it leaves to see if it is damaged. Good luck and I hope you get this resolved.

Over 60 days from purchase and still no funiture

Rooms to go in Frisco TExas. Made a 2 room purchase on July 5th. Now September 17th and still have yet to recieve delivery on the sofa or dining table. They delivered the first dining table and it was broken. Tried to get me to "just keep it until we sort it out". Sent it back. 3 weeks later they deliver another table, it is broken also and in addition has the wrong table top. Say they will have it and the sofa in another three weeks. Tomorrow is the delivery date and today they tell me the sofa will MAYBE be ready in another 30 days and the HOPE the table doesn't fall apart this time. Customer service says call the store. Store manager will not speak to me. His salesman lackey tells me I need to talk to customer service. They played this game of putting me on hold while they talked to the manager repeatedly but I cannot speak to the manager. He is busy with customers. What am I? No one will authorize a complete return. They want me to "reselect" furniture that may or may not match the partial pieces I have now.

ROOMS TO GO FRAUD

The sofa that I bought from RTG for $1144.00 is junk. I complained in the first 48 hours. They brought a second sofa in worse shape weeks later, took the cushions off it, put it on the first one, and left. The technician that came out documented the problem and said if it got worse to report it. It got worse. THE CHEAP FOAM COMPRESSES TO LESS THAN 1/2 IT'S THICKNESS WHEN YOU SIT ON IT, AND THE SPRINGS COLLAPSE. YOU LITERALLY ARE SITTING ON A THIN PIECE OF FOAM ON TOP OF BROKEN CUSHIONS. This is their Patrizzio sofa, one of their best leather ones. It felt firm and supportive in the store. It is junk in less than 4 months, and is torture to sit on. The tech was sent out again, despite corporate insisting there is no warranty. The tech tells me he reported the problem. The corporate report from the tech reads "customer preference issue" "meets manufacturer's specs". The tech claims he did not write that. The store manager calls the tech a liar ( Buford store in GA ). Store demands a new tech to support my claims comes out. They schedule for July 3rd and are a no show. Corporate notes say they notified me that no tech could come out to my area until after July 7. Now they say not until July 17th, and a senior tech must come out. I am asking what is the point if they changed the notes of the first tech! Obviously this is fraud and harassment to document there is no problem and/or no warranty. I now am paying for a $1144 sofa that we cannot sit on without sinking down into the springs!!!!.........more to come....please send any similar experiences asap to sandygrits@***.com

Rooms To Go NOT Kid furniture friendly

We bought a kid's bunk bed a few month's ago with full bed on the bottom from Rooms To Go Kids. My kids never slept in it. One day we noticed that the side under the bunk was crooked. The kids said my 11 year old was bouncing and it broke. We just thought a slat had come out. We called rooms to go since it should still be under warranty. they sent out a rep who said they could fix it. A few days later they called and said they couldn't fix it. We would have to buy a new side rail for $135. The wood cracked and broke near the middle, not the end of the slat. I asked how that could happen. They said the kids were probably jumping on it. I don't know how high they could jump under a bunk causing that much damage. Some adults bounce more than that. It IS a kid's bed and should be more durable. The set cost over $600. I refuse to put one more penny toward this company. Read my other complaint relating to the credit problems I have with them. I now have a spaghettio can holding up the bed and that is how it will stay!

Guest

If your 11 yr old jumped on the hood of your car and dented it in, would you call the dealership? Maybe more than time out is needed.

Guest

I'm sorry your 11 year old kid was jumping on the bed... and broke it... and this is CLEARLY a Rooms to Go problem...I mean come on????This is a joke right???

ROOMS TO GO

I BOUGHT DINING TABLE AND CHAIRS FRM THE ROOMS TO GO OUTLET LOCATED IN ORLANDO,WHEN I SEE THE CHAIRS, AT THE TIME IT WAS GOOD,I CHECKED IT MY SELF BECAUSE THE SALES REP SAID ONCE THE ITEM SOLD THEY DO NOT TAKE IT BACK. WHEN I RECEIVED THE CHAIRS TWO OF THEM WERE BROKEN AND I REALIZE THAT THEY SWITCHED THE CHAIRS WHAT THEY SEND IS DIFFERENT THAN I CHECKED IN THE STORE.SO I REJECT THAT TWO CHAIRS AND SEND THE BACK. THATS IT WHEN I CALL THEM I GOT POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THEM. They said either i need to take that broken chairs back or they will issue store coupon for the price of that two chairs. Still i have four chairs for my dining table ,instead of six chairs. I need to say great service Rooms To Go.

Stay Away from RTG... not interest free.

if one day late on payment, interst free taken away.

company holds checks till past due.. took over 10 days to post payment...

Guest

RTG screwed us too... charging us interest on a 3 year interest free promotion.

Guest

To RTG Fanatic

WOW ***. Dont't you realize that is how you go from little to big.

Take the small and create LARGE. Get some business training!!

Guest

Wow...you are paranoid...yeah RTG switched your chairs. They are just that vindictive.

Listen. Take some english lessons first of all and then go to some therapy sessions to figure out why it is that you think a large corporation is going to jack you out of two chairs.

They dont care that much dude. Not everyone is out to get you.
